Our mission:
Our purpose is to help people take the next step on the spiritual journey by becoming and helping others become faithful servants of Christ.
Five indicators of being a faithful servant
1. A growing relationship with Christ
2. Experiences and shares with others the good news of God’s grace
3. Shows compassion toward others
4. Gives his/her best through service and ministry
5. Worships God individually and with others
Our Belief:
We believe that all people are invited to participate in the on-going, unfolding story of God’s kingdom here and now. This story is much larger than us—this is the story of the creation of the cosmos and humanity, the history of God’s people through the exodus as well as through the birthing of the church through the death and resurrection of Christ. We believe that there is hope and good news for all people by entering into God’s story. We believe that our story can change through trusting in the life and work of Christ. Living in God’s unfolding story is to live in the life and way of Christ. Choosing to say "yes" to God and changing stories by becoming “friends of Christ," naturally involves our whole life. When we enter into this story, the story of life in Christ, it changes all aspects of our lives from how we spend our time, our money, what we eat, how we treat others, how we treat our bodies, how we care for those in need—the orphan, the widow, the downtrodden etc…. Living in God’s story, compels us to be otherly, outward and missional. That is the nature of our Triune God. Israel was chosen not unto privilege, but unto cooperative work with God (Genesis 12:1-3; Isaiah 42:5-7). We stand in the same story and prophetic tradition (Matthew 5:13-16; Luke 9:1-6; 10:1-24; Matthew 28:18-20; John 14:12; Acts 1:8; Revelation 22:5-6; etc). We believe that we are a part of this historical-story. We believe that all are welcome to join us in being a local expression of the mission of God—a community learning to live in the way of Christ, seeking to play a faithful role in the unfolding of God’s kingdom here and now.
